Specialist training

Well specialist training started today and David is a great supervisor. I got so sick last njight and spent the whole day recovering but I made it through. Now I get to do a lot of chase boat work tomorrow. This is going to be fun! I have ben reluctant to post pictures because of their file size but I will try to get some up soon. More to come!

Great Day

Great day at camp! Yesterday and today doing lifeguard training and taking a lot of pictures. I got up early today because I thought breakfast was a half hour earlier than it was so I got to do some exploring. Last night I saw my first deer and there are squirrels and quail all over the place. Lots of reading to do last night but not as bad tonight as everybody is so tired. Big day tomorrow doing more life guarding and the rest of the week is going to be just as action packed no doubt if not more so. Anyway.. I have to go study before I go to bed for my 8 hours. Off to Camp

Well this is exciting. I am officially going to work at Catalina Island Camps this summer teaching sailing! The camp has an amazing program there and I am so lucky to be able to go over there for the summer and do what i love. I take the boat over tomorrow with a few of my new coworkers so I will get to know a few of them before the ride is over i am sure. That's all for now.

well i had an exciting weekend in San Diego!five races on sunday in my laser! man that was fun. I have a picture posted above. Im the guy on the right in the green sweatshirt. It was great in San Diego and I look forward tomore racing!

been a while

Hey, all. sorry its been a while. i have school out the ear and a BUSY weekend coming up. Opening Day is this Sunday!!!! and i have MUCH MUCH MUCH more to do too. my new race laser is coming along nicely. should be done in a couple weeks. Well thats all for now.

Tuesday

Anyone here not like Tuesdays? I mean it isn't Monday but it Isn't Wednesday either so you aren't halfway through the work week but the start of the week exitement is wearing off. not cool. Well stay hopeful. Friday is Coming!

Laser update

Hey all. Just checking in and giving an update on my new laser. The hull is fairing nicely. the parts i epoxied on Tuesday and sanded yesterday came out smoother than most gelcoats i have feeled. I put on West Systems epoxy w/ 410 fairing filler on a bunch of small cracks and scratches today and let it sit. i also glasses around the bottom of the daggerboard slot, the front edge of the bailer slot and on the back edge of the stern. All of those spots are places that get work down quickly so they are all reinforced now. I am going to try to sane most if not all of it down tomorrow and see how it feels and looks. if it came out right, the hull should feel brand new or almost so after i fill a few more small scratches. So it should turn out good. That's it for this update.
